The MAXIMUM word limit is 250 words excluding Title, Authors, Affiliations and Keywords.
Abstract should be typed with 1.0 spacing, 11-point Arial font and justified.
The title must be in Bold, UPPERCASE and Centred.
Full name of authors (First name, Middle name and Surname) and their affiliations must be written in Title Case and Centred. The presenting author should be underlined.
The abstract should be structured containing Introduction, Objective(s), Methods, Results and Conclusion. A maximum of 5 keywords shall be provided.

The file should be saved as a Microsoft Word file with a “.docx” extension.
Name the file as “presenting author_ICDMHS_2024”. E.g., ‘fatimah_ICDMHS_2024’
The duration of presentation for both oral and poster will be 8 minutes presentation + 2 minutes Q&A.

Further Information
The content of the abstract is final and cannot be amended after the abstract submission.
The Scientific Committee will review the abstracts and notify the authors whether the abstract can be presented as poster or oral.
The notification of acceptance of the abstracts will be informed to the authors by 15 August 2024.
The decision on the mode of presentation and category decided by the Scientific Committee shall remain final.

Format of presentation:
The presenter must disclose any personal or co-author potential conflict of interest and agree to Universiti Sains Malaysia’s policy on full disclosure in the first slide.
Slide must be prepared using PowerPoint, and saved in MP4 format.
Slide dimension: 16:9 (Widescreen)
Duration of presentation: 8 minutes

Background/Introduction (3-4 slides).
Describe the research gap in the current literature
Hypothesis and Specific Aim(s) (1 slide)

Acknowledgements (1 slide). Include any source(s) of funding, personal acknowledgements and the author contact information
All virtual presentations will be judged in advance by the Scientific Committee. There will be no question and answer session.
Authors with accepted abstract, who had presented the work at ICDMHS 2024 are highly encouraged to submit full paper via the online submission system for inclusion in the conference proceedings, which will be available online.
The selected abstract published in the conference proceedings may be considered for publication. The selected author will be informed to prepare the manuscript based on the Author's Guidelines through an online system before can be published in WOS/Scopus/non-indexed journals: Archives of Orofacial Sciences (AOS) Journal and Journal of Materials in Life Sciences (JOMALISC).
All submitted full papers will go through a peer review process by two reviewers from our competent Scientific Committee and the selected papers will be published in any of the mentioned journals based on the Journal Chief Editor’s decision and must be submitted by 30 OCTOBER 2024.
